La Gigliola

For more than half a century the dedication of the Piazzini family has made this 500th century Borgo into a jewel of rare beauty.

With its four villas surrounded by well-kept gardens, Gigliola is a heritage rich in Tuscan history and traditions. Here, at the beginning of the 1900s, the noble Milani family took up residence in the beautiful manor house, which now, renovated with taste and respect for the Renaissance style, houses one of the most suggestive Eco resorts in the whole of Tuscany.

The village of Gigliola also houses the ancient chapel dedicated to San Enrico, where in 1930, the young Lorenzo Milani was called by God to spread his word, creating a new educational model for the children of poor families.

One of the most fragrant and full-bodied Italian oils is produced from the Frantoiano, Moraiolo, Maremmano, Pendolino olives.
